The Packers will host the Cowboys in Week 10 of the upcoming season in order to face McCarthy for the first time.
The Cowboys will play the Packers in November, ahead of the full schedule release on Thursday.
McCarthy was Green Bay's coach for parts of 13 seasons and was in charge of the Packers when they won the 2010 Super Bowl. He was hired as the Cowboys head coach 13 months after he was fired.
The teams will meet for the first time in 2019. The Packers have won three of the past four meetings against the Cowboys. The last time the teams played was in 2016 when Dallas defeated Green Bay 30-16.
The league will have a Week 2 Monday Night Football game in the year 2022, as well as three Christmas Day games.
