The same number that Kayvon wore as a unanimous All-American will be the one he wears with the New York Giants.

It cost him $50,000 to get it from Graham Gano.

The money will go to charity. The two agreed to donate it to Puppies Behind Bars, which provides service dogs to wounded war veterans and first responders. Gano's dad was in the U.S. Navy for 30 years.

The Giants website quotes Gano as saying that the money that Kayvon was donating would be able to make the largest impact and help the most people throughout him giving that money.

That was the whole goal. I am really excited about it.

At his news conference, he joked that it would take a lot of zeros to get the number from Gano. Peppers tried to get the No. 5 from Gano, but he couldn't because he has five kids, who range from 10 to 2 years old.

"It's funny, you guys just know, this is real now, we're talking real numbers," he said with a laugh. You don't remember the zeros behind it. Things are not the same now.

He is a great guy and we are going to build a relationship and we are going to talk about it.

They talked about it after the draft.

By the way, @kayvont and I knew the number change was going down for about a week before we said anything. Loved messing with all of y'all every step of the way. 😁

Gano is going back to his old number. Brittany was a star softball player at Florida State.
