It's still weird to see Russell Wilson in Broncos colors. I can only imagine what it would be like for Seattle's 12th Man fan base. Wilson is embracing his new surroundings with the Broncos and the Denver community.
Wilson and his popstar wife have already been referred to as Denver's first family, and the guy hasn't thrown a meaningful pass yet. Wilson and the Mile High City seem to have one big love fest. Russ was heavily involved in the community around Seattle, so I expected the same in Denver. The two have a puppy. Wilson and the Broncos will play the Rams on Christmas Day.
Russ is bringing his academy to Denver on June 17. The event will be held on the field for the first time in two years because of COVID. Russell andCiara showed their support for the Denver Nuggets by going to Game 4 of their first-round playoff series against the Golden State Warriors. Mr. Wilson is trying to get to know the people of Colorado.
It sounds like Wilson has found renewed energy after hearing about being a Bronco and being part of a winning culture. The first week of Wilson's new journey was documented when he was traded to Denver. Russell was shown as he was greeted by different players, staffers, and executives, including the franchise's greatest player and team president John Elway. On their first day in Denver, Russell andCiara visited the Children's Hospital of Colorado to read their children's book to the kids.
Wilson's reaction shows how special these moments are to him. Wilson had a big smile on his face and a hug for everyone he crossed paths with. He received a Wilson jersey from the Rockies. Wilson was drafted by the Rockies with the 140th overall pick in the 2010 MLB draft. Wilson is now playing in the city where his professional sports career began, as he is now playing in the city where he started.
Most teams would love to have a HOF quarterback. The Broncos now have three in Wilson, Elway and Manning, the future HOFer. Wilson has said many times that the success of this relationship comes down to winning. It will come down to Denver.
The Broncos brought in DangeRuss to win. Russ will be measured by how much he wins in Denver, not the extras that come along with him. It won't be enough to make it to the Championship Games. Wilson was a part of the Seattle team that won the Super Bowl against the Broncos in New York.
It will all be worth it if Russ can bring the fourth trophy to Denver. It doesn't matter if it happens in Year 1 or Year 5. That is what the Broncos franchise and fans expect. Expectations were different because Seattle had never won before. Elway and Manning want Wilson to surpass. Wilson has a good chance of achieving those heights, even though it won't be easy in the AFC West. Wilson is off to a great start in his new city, having not played any games yet. He is still happy this time next year, and hopefully the season goes well.
