Musk Says He Would Reverse Twitter's Ban of Donald Trump

If Musk buys the social media company, he will reverse the ban on Trump.

Musk spoke virtually at a Future of the Car summit hosted by the Financial Times.

Following the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, Trump's account was banned on January 31, 2021.

I think that was a mistake because it made Donald Trump not have a voice, and I think this may end up being worse than that. I think I would reverse the permanent ban.

Musk said that he dislikes permanent bans as much as Jack Dorsey does.

Trump told Fox News last month that he would focus on his own platform, Truth Social, even if his account was restored.

I'm not going on the social networking site. Trump told the network that he was going to stay on Truth.

A request for comment in response to Musk's remarks was not immediately responded to by a Trump spokesman.
