Spurs owner Peter J. Holt told fans that the team is not going anywhere.
Local anxiety was raised because of the plan to have the Spurs play a few games in Austin.
Holt said in a message that the Spurs are in San Antonio.

There was a real threat that the Spurs would be moved and my family became involved in the 90s. Holt said that they would not let that happen now.
The Spurs play their home games at AT&T Stadium. The team wants to play two home games in the Moody Center, which will host University of Texas games. The official told the commission that the franchise is trying to expand.
San Antonio officials are worried that Texas capital city could lure away the Spurs because of Austin's soaring popularity and influx of large corporations that could be major team sponsors. Major League Soccer decided to expand in Austin rather than in San Antonio.
