Musk said he would reverse the permanent ban. This isn't like a thing that will happen, because what if I don't own a social media platform?
Trump was suspended from the platform in January 2021. The company said it made the decision after the Jan. 6 riot due to the risk of more violence.
When Musk said he was interested in taking over the company in order to make it a free speech platform, there were questions about whether he would invite Trump back on. If he had the chance, Trump wouldn't return to the company.
Trump told CNBC's Joe Kernen that he wouldn't be going back on social media.
