Juuse Saros never made it to the post for the series after the Preds were outgunned by the Avs. The series was over last night when the Avs beat the Stars 6-3, but still, Makar was the unquestioned star, and he was the one who dragged the Avs to a win. The Preds threw death rattles at the Avs. He would rather have the time off.

He gave the Avs a 2-1 lead in the 2nd period with his wristed cheese.

In the 3rd, after the Avs had tied the game at 3, and with the goobers in the arena seats trying to push the Preds across the finish line, Makar went Earl Campbell on Yakor Trenin along the boards at the point. Which left a passing lane to Val Nichushkin, and watch Roman Josi with his stick in the air to keep this lane open.

The only game the Avs had to really sweat was the OT winner against the Jets.

When you get a chance to end a team's season, you take it and run. We had a lot of ups and downs, but we wanted this one. The resilience in general showed from our group.

Makar may have to give up the Norris Trophy to Josi, but he is still playing for a Conn Smythe and a Cup. He is the best show going.
