The video of Egyptian teens harassing tourists has sparked outrage.

One of Egypt's top tourist attractions, the Giza Pyramids, has been accused of being harassed by a group of local teenagers.

The video, which shows foreign female tourists trying to flee from a group of boys who were attempting to touch and photograph them against their will, sparked outrage on social media.

One of the female tourists tried to push one of the boys away from her after a different member of the group looked like he was touching her.

It is not clear from the footage if any of the boys groped the women.

The tourist guide who captured the footage brought the incident to the attention of the authorities.

The boys will be tried in a juvenile court.

In response to the backlash, the boys said they were simply trying to take photos with the women and had not intended to cause any alarm.

Visitors to the Pyramids at Giza and other famous archeological sites in Egypt are harassed and followed by young men aggressively offering tours, souvenirs, carriage, or camel rides.

When visiting Egypt, the British government encourages its citizens to dress modestly, not to offend other cultures or religious beliefs.

Almost all of the girls and women living in Egypt said they had been subjected to sexual harassment in their lives, according to research carried out by the United Nations.

“Egypt is safe for tourists just have your partner come over!” This happened yesterday near the pyramids…

What’s more baffling is it also happened to me and a friend a few years back simply because we looked foreigners ourselves and we had to run before we got group harassed… pic.twitter.com/IZI0Tz8ASQ
