According to reports, the Baltimore Ravens added some depth to their backfield Tuesday.

Mike Davis is a running back, according to the Pro Football Network. Boardroom's Jordan Schultz confirmed that Davis signed as well.

The Atlanta Falcons released Davis after just one season with the team.

Since entering the league as a fourth-round draft pick of the San Francisco 49ers in 2015, Davis has played for six teams.

He has played for a number of teams, but has not been able to find consistent success. He ran for over 500 yards in Seattle in the year before, but only had 27 rushing yards the next year for the Bears and Carolina.

The South Carolina product had a career-best That effort helped convince the Falcons to sign him, and he responded with 503 rushing yards, 259 receiving yards and four touchdown last season.

As the season went on, Davis fell behind Cordarrelle Patterson on the depth chart.

The 29-year-old joined the Ravens as an insurance policy after they suffered so many injuries. J.K. Dobbins, the presumed starting running back, was out for the entire year because of a preseason torn knee.

The Ravens had to shuffle their running backs into the lineup because of the injuries, including a torn knee and a lost backup.

Lamar Jackson led the team in rushing yards.

Davis could provide more stability if either Dobbins or Edwards misses time.
