Many of the country's online platforms were defaced in protest of the ongoing war in Ukraine, as Russia celebrated Victory Day, marking its role in defeating Nazi Germany.

According to reports, Russians with smart TVs were shown a message implicating them in the ongoing conflict. No to war.

According to The Washington Post, the hack apparently targeted several of the country's largest internet companies.

Russia passed a law this year banning any attempts to undermine the country's military, but that hasn't stopped some media outlets from protesting the war. The Presidential Administration will punish the publication for publishing this, because the articles on Lenta.ru noted they had not been agreed with the editorial leadership.

Sony sold two million PS5 units in the fourth quarter, bringing its total to 19.3 million. It sold 3.3 million units in the same quarter last year. 70.5 million PS4/PS5 titles were sold, compared to 61.4 million a year ago.

Sony is expecting better days to come. The forecast is for a 34 percent increase in sales next quarter due to better parts supply and higher sales of third-party games. In June, Sony will launch PS Plus Extra and Premium. The PS Plus subscriber levels were flat, but the new tiers could help draw more subscribers.

A US college is shutting down for good following a ransomware attack

Lincoln College was unable to access recruitment and fundraising systems for months.

Lincoln College will close this week due to a recent attack that took months to resolve. The cyberattack seems to have been the tipping point for the Illinois institution, as the impact of COVID-19 severely impacted recruitment and fundraising.

Lincoln says it had a record-breaking student population in the fall of 2019. The fall in numbers was caused by the Pandemic. The college is one of only a few rural schools that qualifies as a predominantly Black institution under the Department of Education. The 157-year-old institution may have been brought to an end by the combination of the pandemic and cyberattack.

NFTs are coming to Instagram this week

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg says they're on the way to Facebook as well.

NFTs are coming to the photo sharing site. The app will start testing a way for users to display non-fungible token on their profiles, according to Mark Zuckerberg.

We are starting to build for NFTs, not just in our metaverse and Reality Labs work, but also across our family of apps.

A similar feature is coming to Facebook in the near future, and Meta is considering enabling NFTs in its other apps. There is a way for people to show 3D NFTs using augmented reality.
