The acquisition of Apple Leisure Group paved the way for World of Hyatt to add more than 100 all-inclusive properties. Over 50 hotels have been added to World of Hyatt this week. It is now possible to redeem points at Apple Leisure Group properties.
The goal was to give World of Hyatt members access to one of the largest portfolios of luxury all-inclusive resorts in the world.
The Hyatt acquisition gives it access to seven new brands. Hyatt is marketing these hotels as an Inclusive Collection.
The World of Hyatt program will soon include all-inclusive properties, allowing members to earn and redeem points.
In April, six properties in Mexico joined World of Hyatt.
Hyatt's portfolio will expand to 26 brands and over 1,100 hotels once this integration is complete, with a particular expansion of resorts in Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America, and Europe. You can earn more nights with the World of Hyatt Brand Explorer promotion.
All-inclusives are a bit polarizing. Some people swear by all-inclusives, as they offer an easy vacation, and often represent a good value. Others don't like all-inclusives as they prefer to do more dining off-property and don't want to feel like they're in a bubble.
The program has introduced an all-inclusive award chart to coincide with Apple Leisure Group properties joining World of Hyatt. Hyatt has seven new brands, but also Hyatt Zilara and Hyatt Ziva.
The all-inclusive award chart consists of Category A-F instead of Category 1-8. You can find the new award chart here.
The standard award chart for other properties is here.
The cheapest all-inclusive properties are more expensive than the cheapest standard hotels. They can be a bit more expensive on the high-end.
You earn 5x base points per dollar spent, plus up to a 30% status bonus, if you are a Globalist member.
There is a new promotion that members may find useful. You can earn 5,000 World of Hyatt bonus points if you stay three or more nights.
It is nice to see the group's 100 all-inclusive properties being added to the World of Hyatt portfolio. Members can earn and redeem points at new properties. The new all-inclusive award chart will apply at the new properties, as well as Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara.
