The largest cruise ship to sail the Great Lakes completed its inaugural voyage on May 6.
There are three Great Lakes itineraries this year on the expedition ship.
There will be an eight-day voyage from Milwaukee to Thunder Bay. The Octantis will visit the carless Mackinac Island in Michigan, as well as the Gregorian Bay, which is home to some 30,000 islands of the Unesco Biosphere Reserve. The ship will stay overnight in Ontario.
The itinerary cruises from Toronto to Milwaukee over eight days, with stops at Point Pelee in Ontario and Detroit. The ship will stay in Milwaukee.
There are calls at the Apostle Islands, Wisconsin, and Milwaukee on the third itinerary.
A new 15-day Great Lakes itinerary will be introduced in June of 2023.
The Viking Polaris is expected to enter the fleet in August.
