The Dallas Mavericks released a statement after fans harassed the family of Phoenix Suns guard Chris Paul.

The Athletic and Stadium shared a statement which explained that the two unruly fans are banned from the arena for five years because they tried to give hugs and had conversations with members of the Paul family.

The incident first made national headlines when Paul said after the game that the fans could put the players' families in danger.

Several of the point guard's family members wereharassed and physically contacted, which left them feeling very unsafe, according to Dave McMenamin.

According to the report, a fan pushed Jada and pushed Robin, the mother of Paul. Jada left her seat behind the Suns bench and someone followed her up the aisle.

The Dallas Mavericks are aware of an incident between a fan and the family of Chris Paul. It was not acceptable and will not be forgiven. The fan was removed from the game by the Mavericks and American Airlines Center.

Dallas star Luka Doncic was held back from a spectator in Phoenix, the first incident in this series to turn heads.

The Mavericks won Game 4 to even the series at two games each. The future Hall of Famer played just 23 minutes before he was done with the game.

He had seven turnovers in the Mavericks win.

The home team has won each of the first four games of the series, and it will be back in Phoenix for a critical Game 5 on Tuesday.
