Middle-earth is where Electronic Arts is going. The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth is a free-to-play mobile game. The title is based on J.R.R. Tolkien's works. The game is being developed by Capital Games. In 2015, the studio was behind another successful collectible mobile game.
The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit will be included in the game, along with collection systems, turn-based combat andimmersive stories.
The next generation of mobile role-playing games will be developed by The Saul Zaentz Company and Middle-earth Enterprises. The combination of high-fidelity graphics, cinematic animations, and stylized art immerses players in the fantasy of Middle-earth where they will go head-to-head with their favorite characters.
This will be the first Lord of the Rings title since The Lord of the Rings: Conquest in 2009. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, NetEase and Glu Mobile are some of the publishers who have released mobile games.
The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth will have limited regional testing this summer.
There are other major projects scheduled to debut this year. The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is supposed to arrive in 2022. The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power series will premiere on September 2nd on Amazon.
