The blue-skinned Na'Vi stare at the sun from the ocean among floating rocks.

13 years have passed since the original came to movie screens, so it makes sense that the sequel would never come out. The proof is in the very first trailer for the movie, and it turns out that it is real and on the way.

There is very little non-visual information to tell us what the movie will be about, other than the giant Na'vi are going to spend a lot of time splashing around in the planet. There are striking images of the two species working together, but are they real or are they in the form of a NaVi and a human? As in the first movie, the film's biggest star is the world of Pandora, which is rendered in stunning color and lushness, under the direction of James Cameron.

Sigourney Weaver will return as a different character, but she will be reprising her role from the first movie. Kate Winslet, Jemaine Clement, and many more join the cast. The movie will premiere in December of 2022.
