The Inhuman king Black Bolt set off a bomb during the comic event, which led to the discovery of her powers. She was not the poster child for the attempt to turn the Inhumans into the X-Men. She doesn't appear to have Inhuman DNA, so her powers are being reworked for the show. They allow her to create energy constructs, which includes a big fist to punch people, and the ability to stretch her body.

It's a significant departure from her origins in the comics, which centered around her identity. At one point, her internal struggle resulted in her shape shifting into her superhero hero, Captain Marvel. It seems like Inhumans will remain that way for the foreseeable future. It will definitely be one of the show's big talking points, but we will have to wait to find out how it all pays off.

We get more of her family and friends, such as her best friend Bruno and her mother Muneeba Khan. There is a small tease of another teen hero joining the fight in the Red Dagger, played by Into the Badlands' Aramis Knight. When Ms. Marvel hits Disney+ on June 8, it will become clear how all of these characters fit into Kamala's life, and how they will help her before she gets boosted to the big screen.
