Rodri can play there in this situation. We have an academy. Everyone has to do more. Thirteen players and a half for these games and everyone has to help out. We arrive with some problems. We are going to do it because Fernandinho did well.

Analysis: Man City still in full control of the title race

Adam Bate is on Sky Sports.

When asked on Friday afternoon what response he expected from his players following their elimination from the European Championship, he told Sky Sports that they were going to perform well. We are going to play who we are. We are going to play our best and try to win the game.

There were some worrying moments early on and who knows what frailties might have been exposed if Chris Wood had done better with his freehead after eight minutes. There was an exhibition that explained why City are top again.

With Jack Grealish and Joao Cancelo providing width, Kevin De Bruyne and Ilkay Gundogan sprayed the ball around the city. It was too much for the team to handle in the second half.

The crowd in the stands was supportive from the beginning, and the result at the previous night made it feel better. The sting out of the fixture was mitigated by the fact that City were no longer in a win or bust scenario.

It was all they needed. It might not be easy to play against Wolves and West Ham on the road. Four points from those two games will be enough to ensure that City can return here on the final day with the title.
