The wife of the President of Ukraine and displaced children met with the first lady of the U.S.
A public school in the town of Uzhorod is being used as temporary housing for displaced Ukrainians after Biden crossed into western part of the war-torn country from Slovakia.
The U.S. official said that she met with Zelenska, who hasn't been seen in public in over a month. Zelenska and Biden hugged each other and the U.S. first lady presented the Ukrainian with flowers.
Biden said the timing of her visit was important to her.
She said that she wanted to show the Ukrainian people that the war has to stop.
