The American Bar Association should demand the resignations of the Supreme Court justices who lied to the U.S. Senate during their confirmation hearings. The justices have undermined the justice system by lying in the face of questioning.

The nation's highest court cannot be allowed to be corrupt. Every ABA member who respects the integrity of his or her profession, regardless of political persuasion or religious affiliation, should immediately demand the ABA protest this egregious attack on American jurisprudence.

If Supreme Court justices can't be held accountable for their sworn testimony, then oaths in court are meaningless. Our legal system is being challenged by justices who swore to uphold it.

Work for us

I vote in Wyandotte County. I am so happy for Mayor TYRONE GARner. Wyandotte County needs Garner to stay in the room.

Wyandotte County's Commissioners are not your enemies. The city and county's leadership team is with them. Each of them seems to think it's in my best interest to conduct a nationwide search to find our city manager. My elected representatives have the chance to choose the best candidate to manage my city and county. Why do you object?

KCK’s needs

In Kansas City, Kansas, we elected the wrong person for mayor. Another example of his poor decision-making is the Mayor's latest rant at the commission meeting. He bought an expensive SUV out of state after taking office. His original decision is unaffected by returning it.

The mayor's reluctance to allow the county commission to look for candidates for administrator is an insult to open politics. The people have the right to know who the best person is for the job.

We in KCK need a leader who is forward thinking and can make rational decisions when things don't go his way.

Two breaches

The Supreme Court is one of the three cornerstones of our democracy and it is very disconcerting that it has been compromised. Hawley tries to keep focus on leak, not Supreme Court draft.

I am confused as to why you weren't angry about the January 6, 2021, insurgency against Congress. Please explain the difference of your responses to the attacks on our country.

Rethink ‘pro-life’

I am a member of the demographic that likes to make all the rules that my group expects you to live by. I've been thinking a lot about abortion and the right to life. I am a pro-lifer who supports free health care for all and against the death penalty.

Many people in my demographic are excited about the possibility of punishing women who make the difficult and personal decision to have an abortion. If the father of that child is also prosecuted, I might be persuaded to adopt that approach. There would be no need for an abortion if it was for the father. If I drove a person to a place where I knew there was a chance of a crime, wouldn't I be held responsible?

Many in my group would say that my ideas are crazy. It is easy to be pro-life when you don't have consequences. It makes for good talking points.

I challenge our elected representatives to adopt this thinking. If you really are pro-life, you have to prove it.

Bring justice

The EQUAL Act, S.79., should be brought to the floor for a vote.

The bill would eliminate the disparity in sentencing between black and white people. Justice is needed.

The EQUAL Act has been co-sponsored by Republican senators Jerry Moran of Kansas and Roy Blunt of Missouri. Bipartisanship is possible.

Royal pains

Highly rated players come to Kansas City and flop, like Kris Bubic and Jake Brentz. Royals baseball will continue to stink until something is wrong.

It was another failure to make it through the first.
