Ja frustrated on bench after apparent knee injury (0:55)

Ja Morant shows his frustration on the bench by slamming down a cushion. (0:55)

Ja Morant, the star point guard for the Memphis Grizzles, left the game against Golden State in the fourth quarter with a right knee injury.

Morant left without talking to reporters, but he did break the code by posting a video of Poole grabbing his knee on a fourth-quarter play. Morant was walking with a limp toward the team bus after the loss at the Chase Center.

The team said only that Morant was being further evaluated.

Memphis forward Jaren Jackson Jr. said that the team would ride for their own. You don't want to see that type of stuff. No one is out here dirty. No one is like that here. It is just unfortunate.

You know the code. Talk about the code at this point.

He is not that type of player to try to hurt someone. They trapped Morant near half court before Andrew was called for a foul. The Warriors were up by 17 at the time Morant was going to sub out, but he walked back to the locker room.

When we doubled him, I hit the ball and went for the ball. You don't want to see people get hurt. I am not that type of player. I respect everyone.

Hopefully he gets better and we can see him in the next game. I don't play like that. That is not my type game.

Jackson said that Golden State head coach Steve Kerr said that Memphis forward Dillon Brooks broke the code when he hit Gary Payton II in the head during a dunk attempt. The man was given a foul and ejected. The league suspended him for Game 3.

Memphis coach Taylor Jenkins said that Morant was getting evaluated. We watched the replay. I am curious to see what happens after Jordan grabbed his knee and yanked it, because he was going after a dribble.

I don't know what goes through you guys' head, but I think that the grab was intentional. I did not say that it went on purpose. I said the play happened.

There was a grab. I am just curious about what happened.

Morant continued his amazing play before limping off the court. He had 34 points, 7 assists and 3 steals. He had a 47-point, 8-rebound, 8-assist performance in the first game of the series, but said he couldn't see out of his left eye after being hit in the second half. Morant scored 15 points in the second game.

He had 34 points, 10 assists and 9 rebound in the first game.

It is unfortunate, butJa is having a great series. For something like that to happen, something that is somewhat controllable, Jordan Poole reached out and grabbed his knee and put him in an awkward position.

Klay Thompson denied that any Warrior was trying to hurt Morant.

Thompson has been through a tough knee injury. I don't think he's strong enough to affect someone's knee. We are not trying to hurt people or club people in the back of the head. I will have his back because we play the game the right way.

Morant has dealt with injuries before and he hopes he will be able to play in the next game.

We have seen Ja heal like a superhero. He is a competitor and a warrior. Who knows what his level of injury is? He knows what the team needs and he will make the best decision.
