The big-screen characters of the man have done everything from teaming up with other action icons to taking on a Megalodon shark. The next character in the series is set to enter the world of bees. The project has a director. The Beekeeper will be directed by David Ayer, thehelmer of Suicide Squad.
Miramax wants The Beekeeper to become an action franchise. The film is described as a fast-paced action-thriller, which is steeped in the mythology of bees. Kurt Wimmer wrote The Beekeeper and sold it to Miramax.
Before becoming a director, he wrote the screenplays for Training Day, S.W.A.T., and The Fast and the Furious. He has directed films such as Street Kings, End of Watch, and Bright. The Tax Collector was the most recent film by Ayer.
The two men have a history at Miramax. Miramax produced both of the films that Statham starred in. The studio was behind the movie.
Bill Block will produce the film. He shared a statement to confirm the news.
