The 76ers were fined by the NBA for failing to properly report the injury status of their star player.

The league fined the 76ers $50,000 for failing to inform the public of the status of Embiid before the game began.

The first two games of the series were missed by the center because of injuries. He was injured in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals against the Toronto Raptors.

According to NBA rules, Embiid was listed as out for the game against the Heat until he passed concussion protocol.

Tim Bontemps is an analyst for the sports network. Six and a half hours before tipoff, it was announced that Embiid had cleared concussion protocol. Bontemps said his status could change before the game started.

The starting lineup was announced on the team's website at 6:44 p.m. Time.

The NBA requires teams to announce their starting lineups 30 minutes before tipoff. The game started at 7 pm. tipoff did not technically happen until around 7:30 p.m. Time.

The most important thing for the 76ers was the return of Embiid. They got their first victory of the series with a 99-79 win over the Heat.

His most efficient performance was not his most efficient offensive performance. The finalist dropped 18 points on 5-of-12 shooting and grabbed 11 boards. When he was the primary defender, he held the Heat to 4-of- 17 shooting.

Philadelphia will try to even the series in Game 4 on Sunday at 8 p.m. .
