Sauce Gardner, Jets Agree to Fully Guaranteed 4-Year Rookie Contract

The New York Jet announced Saturday that they had signed Sauce Gardner to a four-year fully guaranteed rookies contract.

The Jets chose the 21-year-old with the fourth overall pick in the NFL draft. He was the first of three first-round selections New York made.

After being drafted, he told reporters that he was ready to get to work.

He said that he would keep working hard so that he would be able to handle the tough tasks. It is easy to get along with me. I think I'm good for everyone. I lead by example and inspire others. I think my personality will fit in New York.

The Jets made the first selection of the year after SNY.com reported that the team had a lot of interest in the star defensive back.
