We haven't heard anything about Amazon's live action adaptation of Paper Girls. Since today is Free Comic Book Day, Amazon decided to give the first look at the mystery sci-fi show that will be coming to Prime Video.
For those who didn't read the series, the story was about four girls who were caught in a war between two different groups of time travelers on Halloween 1988, and they were delivering papers. The trailer focuses on the four girls as teenagers and hints at some of the emotional ringers they will be put through during the first season.
The Paper Girls are led by Riley Nelet, who is also known asErin Tang, as well as Camryn Jones, who is also known as Tiffany Quilkin, and Fina Strazza, who is also known as KJ Brandman. The four girls have been revealed, but only two additional cast members have been revealed: Ali Wong will portray an adult Future Erin, and New Girl's Nathan Corddry will play Larry, a character that the girls will meet along their journey.
The Paper Girls comic was an Eiser award-winning hit during its heyday, and in the years since, has been referred to as something fans of Stranger Things should consider picking up. Fans of the source material will be happy to know that Paper Girls will be shown on Prime Video later this year.
