An ex-advisor to former President Donald Trump who is now running for Congress released a campaign video in which he bragged about supplying police forces with riot-control gear.
Mills is running for the 7th Congressional district in Florida. Mills is also the co-owner of a company that sells riot-control gear.
In a campaign video, Mills introduces himself as a combat veteran who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, before explaining that he started a company making riot control munitions for law enforcement.
Mills smiled as the ad began showing violent footage of tear gas being deployed at various protests nationwide.
According to the campaign ad, the tear gas had been used against the Hillary Clinton protesters in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Mills says that if the media wants to shed some tears, he can help them out with that.

According to reports, police fired tear gas at Black Lives Matter protesters in 2020 after selling it to them. The House Oversight and Reform Committee opened an inquiry into the health risks of the tear gas in 2011.
Mills told Politico that he was proud to sell tear gas to law enforcement groups.
The Department of Defense and state and federal health departments use tear gas on a daily basis. Each officer or military member who uses these irritants must experience them before being certified.
I am thankful that our officers have less lethal options available to ensure order and preserve lives.
