Francisco Trincao scored for Wolves with 10 minutes to go before Coady netted in the 97th minute to give Wolves a point.

Todd Boehly, a part-owner of the Dodgers, watched the game as his group won the bid to acquire ownership of the club.

The Blues dominated possession in the early stages, but failed to take advantage of their control with Romelu Lukaku and Christian Pulisic all going close before Wolves found a foot in the game with a couple of chances of their own from Romain Saiss and Ruben Neves.

The goal was disallowed for a foul on Saiss in the build-up, but it was the only goal of the game.

The Blues had a second goal ruled out five minutes later when Ruben Loftus-Cheek poked in the ball from a corner, sparking protests from the crowd.

The hosts started the second half brightly and were awarded a penalty on 55 minutes when Saiss was caught by a trailing leg in the box. He sent Sa the wrong way to convert the sport kick, which led to his first goal for the club.

The Blues took a 2-0 lead just two minutes later when Lukaku hit a 20-yard strike after Pulisic stole possession from the Wolves defence.

The visitors did not give up, and they came close to scoring on 73 minutes when Hee-Chan found himself in the box, but Mendy saved with his torso.

Substitute Trincao scored on a left-footed shot from the edge of the box in the 78th minute.

With the last shot of the game, Coady headed in a Chiquinho cross from six yards out to give the visitors a point.
