It seems likely that the company plans on releasing a new drone.
In their video, they say they got footage of the unboxing from a person who received a drone early. The video gives us a good look at the controller and obstacle avoidance sensors of the drone.
The controller is similar to the current RC Pro, with a few buttons and ports removed. The Mini 3 Pro's controller doesn't have any antennas sticking out from the top, and I'd bet good money on the screen not being as bright or crisp as the one found on the $1,100 RC Pro.
We have gotten a lot of information about this drone. A leak last month showed that it would weigh under 250 grams and have collision avoidance sensors. The leak contained more information about the drone's battery and camera, and we got more details from two retailers who were selling it early.
The camera system of the Mini 3 Pro will be a huge improvement over the Mini 2. The Mini 2 is currently selling for $449. The 3 Pro is rumored to have a bigger sensor, a lens that will let in more light, and the ability to record at 4K 60 frames per second, instead of the Mini 2's 30 frames per second. It should be able to do that, hopefully making it so you don't have to choose between bright or dark skies.
Both the retail leaks and the unboxing video mention that you will be able to switch between shooting portrait and landscape video with the drone. That feature is interesting for those making content for phones, and there is some humor in that the next drone from DJI will be able to shoot vertical content.
It seems unlikely that there is much left to leak about this drone, especially in the short amount of time before it is officially revealed. The announcement is scheduled for the 10th at 9AM, according to the website.
