Elon Musk stands for congratulations from Donald Trump standing on a podium as others in the crowd clap for him.

Unless what they are saying about you is false, free speech is great.

The New York Post originally reported that Musk was encouraged by Donald Trump to buy the social network. According to the article, Trump gave Musk a pat on the back to send him off to the races for his Twitter deal.

On the following day, Musk said that the news was false.

The claim is dubious at best, as Nunes is probably not a very solid source on any subject. Musk's firm denial is a bit ironic since he has no problem making problematic and harmful comments about subjects like mental health.

If you've been following along, you know that Trump has been permanently banned from the platform.

Other conservatives have been making claims that Musk will allow them to return to the platform after being banned for violating the terms of service.

The idea that Musk will be allowing anyone to say whatever they want without censor has led to a flood of conservatives getting back onto the platform.

Tucker Carlson, on the right, implied that Musk's purchase had already allowed them back onto the platform, even though he only had to remove one offending post. The MyPillow Guy was giving himself a pat on the back for rejoining the social networking site but was banned again in three hours.

According to a recent tweet, Musk's apparent plans for Twitter include a heavy emphasis on hardcore software engineering, design, information security and server hardware.

Although he emphasizes the idea that people are eager to join Musk's new team, current employees are worried that their efforts to curb misinformation on the platform will be reversed if Musk takes over.
