After posting her farewell note to social media, a Southern University and A&M College student was found dead in the Mississippi River, after her family became concerned over her whereabouts.
Miller attended an HBCU college in Louisiana.
The cheerleader shared a lengthy message that worried her family and friends.
In the post that has now accumulated over 65,000 likes, Miller spoke about her battle with suicidal thoughts and how long she's been fighting them.
Miller wrote "may this day bring me rest and peace." I gave my life to fight for it. I can only imagine how this may find you, I'm so grateful to everyone who has entered my life. I have been surrounded by people who may have thought I was fine, but I haven't been for a while.
The college student is dealing with an injury and feels alone most of the time.
I struggled so much this year. Miller wrote, "From covid, to tearing my acl, to nearly failing all of my classes." I failed at that and I am afraid it will be late.
Miller tells her mother that she was at her breaking point and that she had written suicidal notes before, but she was at peace.
Thank you so much, I'm at rest now! You have given everything to see me happy, and I am happy in the water. I have written many suicide notes in my life, but finally I have reached my end.
She hoped that this would teach people to be present and check on their friends. Miller felt like she was letting people down and losing her connection to God.
I hope this teaches everyone to be present. I never give up. I know that I'm letting a lot of people down. I have lost my connection to God. The devil seems to have won.
She apologized to everyone in her life, revealing that she has tried to make everyone happy. She had had enough fighting in her life and hoped that those close to her would find peace in her decision.
I would like to thank everyone for all they have done. I've tried to please everyone else and make them happy, but thinking about how everyone else would feel about my death is not enough. I have been dead inside for a long time. Miller wrote that he hoped everyone would remember that this is not their fault and that they don't find guilt in his situation.
I have always been stubborn and prideful like you. I'm not enough. I'm done fighting, I haven't felt enough for a while. I hope everyone finds peace after my battle is over.
The Southern University and A&M college expressed their deepest sympathies for Miller's passing, noting that she was a Texas native and majoring in agriculture.

I Think Arlana Miller’s Passing Serves As A Reminder That We All Cannot Just “Stay Strong” In The Wake Of Depression … Some Of Us Are In Fact Tired Of Being “Strong” … And I Believe She Truly Just Couldn’t Deal With This Life Shit Anymore … May God Rest Her Soul. 🧡🧡🧡

RIP to Arlana Miller. I didn’t know her personally, but Please check up on your friends & family because depression doesn’t show itself on the surface until it’s too late. I know what it feels like because I’ve tried to commit suicide a few times. My heart goes out to her family.

Dria Derricho, a Facebook user, spoke out on Miller's death, encouraging others to check up on people and to support them. It's not clear whether or not Miller was well-acquainted with Derricho.
I don't like reading things like this, it's sad to think or even read about. To anyone who is fighting these issues. It will get better. Continue to fight and push through better days. I don't think I can sleep after this. Better wake up! Don't just check on people, be there for them, support them, and help them! All the time, not just briefly! I wish I could help in some way. #mentalhealthmatters #arlanaMiller
