Kyle Van Noy was signed by the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday.

The deal's terms were not disclosed.

The Bolts have beefed up their defense this season, trading for edge rusher Mack and also signing J.C. Jackson and Sebastian Joseph-Day in free agency.

Van Noy was released by the New England Patriots in March, freeing up $4.1 million in salary cap space.

Van Noy played in 16 regular-season games in New England last season, totaling 66 tackles to rank fourth on the team. He had five sacks, 10 passes defended, and a touchdown return, second only to the players in the team.

After he was released by the Miami Dolphins, Van Noy signed a two-year, $12 million contract with the New England Pats.

Van Noy was a member of two Super Bowl championship teams before he joined the Dolphins.

Van Noy was a fourth-round pick of the Detroit Lions.
