Draymond Green was fined $25,000 by the NBA for flipping off Memphis fans during the second game of the Western Conference semifinals.
In the first quarter of the Warriors 106-101 loss, Green held up his two middle fingers as he walked back to the locker room to get stitches for a right eye laceration in response to fans booing him.
Green said that someone who was elbowed in the eye and face should get flipped off. I will make up the money by doing an appearance. It was nice to flip them off. I will be nasty if they are that nasty. I think the cheers were because they know I will be fined. I make $25 million a year. I should be fine.
Green was ejected from the game with less than two minutes left in the first half after picking up a second foul for pulling his jersey and hitting Brandon Clarke in the head.
The FedEx Forum was expected to be hostile for Green in the second game. He was booed every time he touched the ball. The team said that he feeds off of that kind of energy.
