Jeannie Buss and the Lakers have turned, once again, to Phil Jackson.

The Los Angeles Lakers aren't fans of the show Winning Time, especially anyone currently working for the team. The show doesn't look like their mindset.

In the ninth episode, Jeanie Buss is seen as a visionary like her father. In the show they pause a game to superimpose him on the court as he gives a monologue about how long it took for Roger Bannister to be the person to run a mile in under four minutes, and how the next person did it a week later. He made the point that with vision and effort nothing is impossible. Dr. Buss is selling a vision of the Lakers as a basketball team that is also a Hollywood production to anyone who will buy it.

The same thing happens in the show. Her ideas are so impressive that a man who ruled the Forum in real life requested that the Buss be made a full-time team employee. She is just like him when he refuses. She wanted the Forum to be a premiere venue that hosts Hollywood events.

Buss was 19 when she became the general manager of the Los Angeles Strings of the World Tennis Team. Buss didn't work for the Forum until she was president, and she wasn't a follower of Rothman.

Now that the Lakers are in search of a coach again, she is turning to a person whose offense is as old as those comments he made about James a few years ago, Phil Jackson. Jackson is involved in the process, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

He is her ex-husband, but that recent run with the New York Knicks should show that his time has passed. Stephen Curry and James Harden were spraying 3-pointers from every angle, while Jackson was still influencing Fisher to run the triangle offense. She brought back Mr. Posse because she has the Rambis family's tentacles all over the Lakers.

When Jackson referred to James and his friends as a posse, James was not happy with it. When it comes to vision, having Phil Jackson involved with the process is not a good idea.

In the show, Dr. Buss offers UNLV coach Jerry Tarkanian a king's ransom to coach the Lakers, and he would have taken the job if not for the murder of a friend. Jack McKinney would end the season with Paul Westhead after an accident on his bicycle.

A person is looking to change things. Rambis and Rob Pelinka were the ones who insisted on the inclusion of Kidd in Tyronn Lue's staff. The Dallas Mavericks are in the second round of the playoffs for the first time in more than a decade, thanks to the work of coach Kidd. After a third disappointing season with James, the Lakers decided that Jackson had the answer.

They need to put down their pride and watch Winning Time. The spirit is there despite some history being changed on the show. The spirit of the Lakers made them one of the most valuable sports teams. The Lakers were fresh and an outstanding show and after party, which only happened because they were good.

They thought outside of the box. They wonder why the Lakers have spent more years out of the playoffs than they have in the past 13 years. He can save us with his wisdom.

Buss might end up losing in the play-in tournament next season if he influences them to hire a coach like him. People should always look for outside influence in their story-telling. They can be stuck with a mess of their own creation if they don't.
