It has been a long time since I was excited about a new Game of thrones show.
The ending of the flagship show was very confusing and left fans with a sour note.
George R.R. Martin wrote the latest novel in the A Song of Ice and Fire series in July of 2011. The winds of winter may never come. Nobody would be shocked at this point. I would have expected more tears.
But damn. The trailer for House Of The Dragon looks amazing. It restored my hype for this world in a way that only a new book could.
I chuckled when the elderly woman told Rhaenrya Targaryen that the men would put the realm to the torch than see a woman ascend the Iron Throne.
I mean, to be fair, what happened the last time a Targaryen woman was on the throne?
There is a dragon.
History doesn't remember blood. The trailer's slogan is "It remembers names."
George R.R. Martin is the author of Fire and Blood. Some of the best episodes of Game of thrones were directed by Ryan Condal and Miguel Sapochnik.
The House of the Dragon stars Paddy Considine as King Viserys Targaryen, Emma D'Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, and Matt Smith as Alicent Hightower. It is a great cast and crew.
On August 21st, 2022, House of the Dragon will be on the air. I'm most excited to review it this year. You can follow me on this website for my TV reviews, game reviews and more.
