The leak of images of the device accidentally posted by a retailer has seemingly opened. A number of marketing shots of the Sonos Ray have been shared by a user on the social networking site.
The images show the Ray in both black and white and offer a better look at the design. The Ray has a lot of holes cut into it.
The connect button, power, optical, and ethernet are located around the back of the Ray. The optical connection will allow it to plug into TVs.
There are mounting holes on the back of the Ray. The soundbar can be mounted vertically or horizontally. In the latter scenario, a pair of Rays can be used as rear surrounds for other soundbars, like the Arc or Beam. When used in this configuration, the Ray will be able to receive and play surround audio, but the soundbar only supports Dolby Digital.
The Sonos Ray is expected to be released in early June for a price of $249. The company plans to introduce a voice control service with an emphasis on privacy and responsiveness.
