She looked at the dirty carpet and wondered how she ended up there.
Heard did not want this to be the reality. I didn't want the man I was in love with to come back to me. I am not dumb. I knew you couldn't hit a woman. I knew you couldn't hit a man.
Heard said that she was promised that he would never hurt her again. She drove home. She said that the next day, he brought her expensive wine and told her that he had killed her and that she could trust him to never hit her again. She said she was in the relationship.
Heard said that Depp continued to physically abuse her. She said that he would hit her in the face and accuse her of cheating on him.
Heard said that March was a rough time because of the drinking by Johnny Depp. Heard told her mother about the abuse and sent her a picture of a bruise on her arm that she said was caused by Depp.
Heard testified that he thought how could this happen to him again.
While vacationing together at a trailer park, Heard described other instances of physical abuse from Depp. A female friend leaned into Heard and put her head on his shoulder while the couple and their friends were outside. Heard said she took him inside their trailer, where he began smashing things and screaming at her, after he got angry at both of them. He asked her where something was. Heard said she didn't know what he was talking about, but soon he started searching her for it. Heard said that Depp ripped her dress, grabbed her breasts, and ripped her underwear off to look for cocaine, and then he put his finger inside of her.
Heard testified that he stood and stared at the light.
Heard said that the next morning, she saw her friends at the pool and felt lonely because they didn't know about the abuse.
On a flight to Russia in June of last year, Heard said that she and Depp did the drug MDMA and that the flight attendant took some. She said that after the flight attendant became friendly with her, Depp grabbed the flight attendant's wrist and told her not to touch Heard again. When Heard and Depp got to their hotel in Russia, she got a bloody nose, after Heard said that Depp had whacked her in the face. She said she did not feel pain, but wanted to know what happened.
Heard said she wanted him to care.
She said there was a sense that he didn't know what was going on.
The couple went to the island with their kids. Heard said that Depp hid his drinking from his children. Heard said he slammed her down in a room after they got into a fight on the yacht. They left the island on a helicopter.
During their press tour for The Rum Diary, she told the jury how she fell in love with him. He spoiled her parents and friends too, she said. She said that they had to keep their relationship secret because they hadn't gone public with their relationship yet.
We were secretly dating and it was beautiful. She said that she felt like this man was familiar with her and understood her.
