It was emotional testimony as she described the first time Johnny Depp hit her. She claims that he was drinking and using coke while they were on the couch, and that a jar of coke was on the table nearby.

She explained that she asked him about a tattoo on his arm, which he said read "Wino", which made her laugh because she thought he was joking. She claims he slapped her across the face. She testified that he slapped her a second and third time, saying "You think you're a funny bitch?"

She says she left when she realized he was serious and he apologized. She says he was on his knees asking for forgiveness and that he thought he would be put away.

She says he promised to never hit her again, so she stayed with him. She says Johnny would often accuse her of infidelity and strike her during fights.

Johnny was the one who kissed her first, according to Amber. She says they embarked on a romance that was hot and heavy at first, and that she was head over heels in the early stages of their relationship.

She references a "bubble" in which they dated, in which they were together in secret at the time, and she says she was overwhelmed with the gifts and destinations he invited her to see with him. Things were great in the beginning.

As she described how horrifying and painful it was for her to relive this chapter of her life, her lead attorney held back tears.

It sounds like she is upset about the fact that some people have spoken ill of her and that she is getting into the details of a private life she shared with her husband. She was the star witness in the U.K. trial and hates that she has to go through this again on the biggest stages.

She is explaining how she got to L.A. and how she got there. The Rum Diary was where she first encountered Johnny.

It will be interesting to see if she can turn things around after she testifies in the Johnny Depp defamation case.

Attorneys are asking her questions before she takes the stand. They will guide her through a completely different narrative than the one the legal team has laid out for her.

As you know... Johnny's side has presented him as the real victim of domestic violence, as opposed to the other way around, with the actor claiming that Amber would often pick fights and even resort to violence when things got out of hand. He insists he never struck her.

Friends and workers who were around in those days said they never saw any marks on amber during the time she claims she was being hit. ThreeLAPD officers testified to the same thing.

We're sure that she has a lot of ground to make up, not just for the jury, but in the public opinion as well.

It will be interesting to see how she responds to the most damning evidence that has been presented thus far, including the mystery of poop in Johnny's bed, the makeup mix-up, and her admitting on tape to hitting her.

People want to hear how she explained to Johnny that his finger was cut off. He says it was injured when she threw a bottle at him, and we know she has denied that before.

If she can come off as believable and compelling on the stand, it could have a big impact on the jury.
