We need to drink more water. There are apps and smart water bottles that keep us on track. It is not as easy for our pets. We can encourage them to drink more by keeping water fresh and away from food and litter, but if we aren't watching their every move it's hard to be sure they're drinking enough Try to answer a vet's question about how often they drink.

I have been testing Sure Petcare's app-supported Felaqua Connect water bowl for nearly a month and it has kept me better informed without annoying my two cats more than I usually do. It tracks how many ounces the pet drank from it. Small dogs can use the Felaqua, but it is only made for cats, which could lead to real problems real fast, as they tend to not feel as thirsty as dogs. We feel dehydrated, but your cat might not.

The water waslogged.

To use the Sure Petcare app to track which cat is drinking in a multi-pet household, you need to have your pets microchipped or attach anRFID tag to their collar. If your pet is lost, it is possible to get them back to you with the help of a microchip. Without a chip or tag, the Felaqua will still deliver notifications on how much your cats are drinking.

You have to set up the hub to use the app and it plugs into your router so you can access notifications and controls from anywhere in the world. I like smart home gadgets that don't need a hub, but this one is small and cute with its light-up cat ears. You can turn them off in the app. If you get Sure Petcare products like a door flap, you don't need to add any more hubs.

Adding each cat was easy once I connected the water bowl and set up the hub. The app shows you how to get close enough to the bowl so it can read their chips. Give their name to their number.

Thanks to Sure Petcare.

The rest of the app is easy to understand. When they last drank, the quick info on each pet is shown on the homepage. Clicking on your pet's profile opens up more information, like how much water they drank that day and how much time they spent at the bowl. You can see a picture of how much water is left in the reservoir. You can open a calendar graph or scroll back a few days. You can switch between the two pet profiles on Sure Petcare's feeders.
