British management consulting, accounting and PR services have been banned by the UK from Russia.

The Foreign Secretary said that the ban will hurt the Russian economy.

The ban will help ensure that Putin fails in Ukraine.

The Russian media organisation and those working for them are targets of other sanctions introduced on Wednesday.

10% of Russian imports in these sectors are from the UK.

"Doing business with Putin's regime is morally bankrupt and helps fund a war machine that is causing untold suffering across Ukraine."

Russia's access to British services will be cut in order to put more pressure on the Kremlin.

Professional services exports are very valuable to many countries, which is why we are locking Russia out.

By limiting Russia's access to our world-class management consultants, accountants and PR firms, we are ramping up economic pressure on the Kremlin to change course.

These outlets have already been removed from the air in Britain and we have barred anyone from doing business with them.

The European Union imposed a ban on the TV network in the UK in March, causing it to disappear from all broadcast platforms.

Channel One, a major state-owned outlet in Russia, described the invasion of Ukraine as a special military operation.
