The company has announced that it is updating the mobile app on the Xbox to allow you to share your game moments in the form of Stories. The new sharing format is accessible by tapping the button next to your gamertag on the home screen. Content will be shown on your profile for 72 hours. There are new features coming to the console.

A couple of years ago, stories were all the rage, with everyone copying the format in their respective apps. Video games are a visual medium and Stories are a nice way of showing full-screen imagery. It's a little awkward to see a landscape video taking up a small portion of a portrait phone screen.

The new Quality of Service (QoS) tagging feature on the Xbox consoles was announced by Microsoft. It is designed to prioritize traffic that is sensitive to network congestion, and is accessible in the Advanced section of the Network settings menu. Microsoft cautions that the feature might cause issues with some networks, and that it will need to be supported by your home network.

According to Microsoft's announcement post, the Stories feature is live now in Australia, and will come to more regions soon.
