Folk is the next-generationCRM started by European startup studio eFounders. I have already covered Folk in the past. The product is now ready for prime time.

The biggest category is software-as-a-service. Simo Lemhandez, co-founder and COO, told me thatSalesforce is the highest valuation in the industry.

Lemhandez thinks it's hard to modify a majorCRM product to your needs.

Folk draws inspiration from popular products that are very powerful. Notion, Airtable and Figma are examples.

Folk has been working on a product for 18 months. There are 10,000 people on the company's waiting list who want to try it. I saw a demo of the product and it's possible to get started without an integration team. When you sign up, you are asked to create a workspace and invite your coworkers.

Users can import contacts, emails and calendars with the help of an integration with the product. Folk immediately starts working on your contact database by merging duplicate information.

Folk users can search in their contact database with a simple keyboard shortcut. You can leverage your network by searching for a name, a company, etc.

Folk allows you to organize your contacts. A project can be represented by a group of people. For example, you can create a group for PR, another one for your investors, another one for potential clients, and so on.

You can search through your contacts, import new contacts from a file, or use third-party services to add contacts to groups. You can imagine integrations with Calendly, Webflow, Zapier, and more. Folk is still working on integrations.

Each group is unique. Users can add logic to some fields. You can order your contacts based on your most recent interactions. You can switch to a pipeline view at any time, so that you can more easily see the status of your projects.

Folk allows you to send messages with variables. Team members can make comments to a contact so that they stay on the same page. There is also a reminder feature.

Folk is a startup that competes with traditionalCRM products likeSalesforce and HubSpot, as well as database and spreadsheet tools like Notion and Airtable. There is a new generation of products on the market, such as Attio, a startup that I covered last year.

It's a huge industry with some companies that don't use anyCRM at all. There will be more than one startup in the space. Folk has raised over $4 million.
