The AAdvantage Aviator Business Mastercard was no longer on the website. It wasn't a good sign for the future of the card, but it came back with a good welcome offer a couple of months ago.
The offer has been increased in terms of how many miles you can earn, but also in terms of the statement credit.
If you spend $1,000 in the first 90 days, you'll get a 60,000 bonus AAdvantage miles, and if you add an employee card, you'll get an additional 10,000 miles.
The new offer is better than the old one. It doesn't require you to add an employee card or make a purchase to get more bonus miles. The annual fee for the first year is free with this new offer.
The new offer requires you to spend $2,000 within 90 days, rather than the previous offer of $1,000.
The benefit of this card is that it won't add to your Chase count. I redeemed a bunch of them for a trip early next year, so it's tempting to pick up one of these.
If you don't meet the minimum spend requirement, you won't be able to get Platinum status with American Airlines because you won't be able to earn 80,000 Loyalty Points. You can still earn AAdvantage status if you use cards like these that earn 1 Loyalty Point per dollar.
Miles earn and burn.
