Donald Trump still owes a fine of $10,000 per day, even though he lost his appeal at the New York appeals court on Tuesday.
Trump was found in contempt by the Manhattan Supreme Court Judge for failing to comply with a subpoena from the Attorney General.
Trump was fined $10,000 per day until he was satisfied that he had complied with the subpoena.
The judge said that the new affidavits by Trump and his lawyers were not enough to keep the contempt order in place.
The Appellate Division of the First Judicial Department was asked by Trump to stay the contempt order.
The stay request was rejected by that division.
James is looking into allegations that the Trump Organization manipulated the valuations of real estate assets to get more favorable terms on loans, insurance and taxes.
