The first trailer for the film has been released. The trailer lulls you in with the suggestion that it might be a serious movie.
All of Weird Al's accomplishments are true. We could almost believe that the film would have some dramatic moments. The moment Weird Al asks for an accordion, it turns into a Naked Gun-level farce and embraces the absurd humor of the film.

Evan Rachel Wood plays Madonna in the film, with Rainn Wilson, Toby Huss, and Julianne Nicholson also starring.
Weird: The Al Yankovic Story was directed by Eric Appel. It was inspired by a parody video of the same name that was created for Funny or Die.
The AlYankovic Story will premiere on The Roku Channel this fall. A specific date hasn't been set.
