Buying points strategically can represent a good value. The best promotion we have seen from the program so far is the newest one, which is on purchased points.

A 100% bonus on points will be offered through May 9, 2022. If you purchase just 1,000 points, you can get the 100% bonus even if the bonus is tiered.

How much does it cost to buy Radisson Rewards points?

You can buy points for 0.7 cents each, before any discounts or bonuses. If you purchased 80,000 Radisson rewards points, you will receive a total of 160,000 points at a cost of $560, which is a rate of 0.35 cents per Radisson rewards point.

At least compared to other programs, Radisson Rewards Americas doesn't sell points very often. A 100% bonus is as good as it gets when the program sells points.

How many Radisson Rewards points can you buy?

You can buy up to 80,000 points per account before any bonuses. If you maxed out the bonus, you'd also have to keep your yearly limit of points.

Radisson rewards points purchases are not counted as hotel purchases for purposes of credit card spending.

If you want to reach a minimum spending requirement, or if you want to maximize your return on everyday spending, I would recommend using a Chase Freedom unlimited credit card.

If you're unsure, review which credit cards are best for buying points and miles.

Is buying Radisson Rewards points worth it?

Radisson split up its loyalty program into two after the launch of the new Radisson Rewards Americas program. You can earn and redeem points in the Americas region with one program, and in the rest of the world with the other program. It is possible to transfer points between the two programs at no cost, but it is not a very seamless experience.

Here is the Radisson Rewards Americas award chart.

The cheapest properties go for 15,000 points per night, while the most expensive go for 75,000 points per night. There aren't a lot of properties where buying points for a redemption is a good value. There will be situations where the math works out.

Do Radisson Rewards points expire?

After 24 months of being inactive, Radisson Rewards Americas points are no longer valid. If you earn or redeem points once every 24 months, your points won't expire.

How much are Radisson Rewards points worth?

I value Radisson rewards points at 0.3 cents each, and I tend to value them conservatively. The purchase price is higher than what I value, but there are ways to get more value.

Does Radisson Rewards have blackout dates?

The Radisson Rewards Americas program has one of the better policies when it comes to points availability, because it doesn't have a blackout date for standard room redemptions.

The best offers from the program are in line with the 100% bonus introduced by Radisson. This is definitely a niche opportunity, as I would say there are few opportunities where this represents a good deal, beyond topping off an account for a specific redemption.
