Amber Heard Fails to Get Johnny Depp's Suit Tossed, Her Turn Now

The judge said no to her last-ditch attempt to get Johnny's defamation claims thrown out, and now it's time for her to tell her side of the story in court.

The legal team for the actress filed a motion Tuesday asking the judge to dismiss several of the claims made by the actor.

According to Ben, the case couldn't be won because they didn't prove that she acted with malice.

Even if it was more emotional than physical, the underlying claims of domestic violence by Amber are true.

Johnny's attorneys offered their rebuttal in fierce terms, with Ben Chew yelling in the courtroom that amber was the abuser.

The judge here mostly sided with Johnny because she refused to strike his claims, and she tabled one issue about the WaPo headline, which hasn't been introduced yet.

At this point, the team will have to present their side, and thus far it has been Johnny. It will be interesting to see how she refutes the current characterization.

A rep for the actor said that they were pleased with the Chief Judge Azcarate's ruling on the issue of Johnny prevailing in keeping the case alive.

The rep says that they are confident in the future of the case and that the truth will be shared.
