The work on Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remaking hasn't gone as smoothly as expected. The company has put its Montreal studio in charge of the project. The game was being worked on by the two teams from Mumbai and Pune.
The developers wrote in a message to fans that it was the birthplace of the Sands of Time trilogy. The original game was released in 2003 The team will take the time they need to regroup on the scope of the game to deliver you the best experience for this remake of an all-time classic.
It was put on hold indefinitely after it was delayed from January to March. In June of last year, the company had a release window in mind. The latest update seems to make that less likely. It was contacted by Engadget for comment.
This is not the only game that suffers from a protected development cycle. Skull and Bones has been in the works since 2013 and, until alpha test footage leaked last week, Ubisoft hadn't shown much from the often- delayed title. The Beyond Good and Evil 2 was first teased in 2008. There is no release window for that game.
