David is free of cancer after completing his treatment.
In October of last year, he revealed that he had been diagnosed with stage two Hodgkin Lymphoma, a cancer that mainly affects young adults in their early 20s or older, and that it affects people over the age of 70.
It has been a few months since my last update and I have successfully completed my cancer treatment.
I would like to thank the medical staff for their amazing work and support throughout the process.
I met with my specialist last week to review my final test results. I am happy to say that the treatment was a success and that I have been given the all clear.
Those words feel incredible to say and I am so thankful for all your messages and good wishes, these really helped me through the tough times.
I am excited to get back to full fitness and continue my football career.
