A cross-play widget will appear in the bottom right of the screen when the test is available.

There will be a test of cross-play between players on Sony's PS5 and Microsoft's Xbox Series X and S in the near future. The developer says that cross-play will be limited to Online Seasons and Online Friendlies game modes, allowing you to play against friends on other platforms, or climb Online Seasons Divisions against a cross- platform player base.

Cross-play can be enabled or disabled from a menu available in the bottom. Indicators will appear during online matches when a player is on another platform, but otherwise, the test shouldn't have an impact on the game.

Players can also opt-in or out of cross-play from the Matchmaking menu.

The game's cross-play support could have a big impact on Stadia players. With an install base much smaller than either PS5 or the Xbox Series consoles, players on the cloud gaming service often have a much smaller pool of potential competitors to be matched up against. Microsoft and Sony launched their platforms in September of last year.

The announcement of the test for the game follows reports that there will be cross-play support in the game.
