The Golden State Warriors had little reaction to the league not lowering Draymond Green's flagrant foul 2 that he picked up in the second quarter of Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Memphis Grizzlies.
There is reason to wonder if Green will change the way he plays from here on out.
Green said after practice that he would never change the way he plays basketball. I had four All-Stars and a Defensive Player of the Year. I am not going to change now.
Brandon Clarke said that his play, which ended with Green hitting him on the head and grabbing his jersey, was not surprising. Green has made plays like that throughout his career, according to Clarke.
Green said that he would not let the comment affect him.
Green said that his reputation is a badge of honor.
Green was suspended from the 2016 NBA Finals after he picked up four points in the playoffs. Every year feels similar to me, Green said when asked if his ejection Sunday felt similar to his 2016 incident. Nothing has changed in my career.
Warriors coach Steve Kerr and guard Stephen Curry warned Green that he must play with a certain level of concentration to avoid getting a suspension.
Curry said that he has to be aware of that and only he can tell you how he approaches each game. I want him to be himself and make the plays he is capable of making and impact the game. He cannot be in a situation where the interpretation of rules goes against him.
Green said that it would not affect the way he plays. I have no idea how to bite out. That doesn't work for me.
