'Ghost In The Shell: SAC_2045' is coming out in Spring 2020.
The upcoming anime seriesGhost In The Shell: SAC_2045 for Netflix received an interesting new trailer and certainly looks promising.
This is in part due to two main reasons, the first is that like the CG movies of Appleseed before it, Ghost In The Shell: SAC_2045 is being animated at Sola Digital Arts as well as being co-directed by Shinji Aramaki and Kenji Kamiyama.
The second reason is that the character designs are being done by Ilya Kuvshinov, who has a very clean and quite different style over the original Ghost in the Shell manga and subsequent anime adaptations.
Apart from these aspects, we also get a quick glimpse of a smaller Tachikoma and hear that Atsuko Tanaka has returned to voice Motoko Kusanagi.
As for the story, that is still unknown at this point but the title indicates that it's set after the events of the prior Stand Alone Complex anime.
Considering how big Ghost in the Shell is as a franchise, Netflix has made a shrewd choice here. Not only in the choice of anime but also the studio and talent behind it.
Ghost In The Shell: SAC_2045 will be released on Netflix in the Spring of next year.
